Delete Virtual Item

In order to clear requests that have been in Returned status for too long, you can use the Delete Virtual Item function to remove them. It is recommended that you keep a record of the item, lending library, and patron for any deleted virtual items for potential follow-up.

  1. Select Check Out (Circulation Desk) and search for the Patron Barcode
  2. On the INN-Reach tab, find the row for the returned item.
  3. Right-click the item. From the menu, choose Delete Virtual Item

Note that this option is only available for items that have the status IR RETURNED.

  1. Click Yes to confirm that you want to Delete this virtual item.

The transaction will be cleared from the patron account, but will remain available for the lending library to Check-in upon receipt.
